Usually.
If you've received an offer of a compromise agreement, your employer will probably be offering to contribute to your legal costs. We limit our fee to what your employer is contributing, which means that there is no charge to you personally!
And our advice includes everything you need to know about your compromise agreement, including:
- A full explanation of the terms and effect of your compromise agreement;
- Our opinion on the suitability of the offer and whether there is scope for negotiating a higher settlement for you;
- Consideration of the tax implications and whether the payments are being made in the most tax-efficient way.
In exceptional circumstances, we may need to charge you more than your employer is contributing. For example, if you want us to negotiate on your behalf, we may need to increase our fee. However, we will ask your employer to increase the contribution to legal costs as part of the negotiation. If they agree, there is still no charge to you.
The initial consultation is always free. Call us now on 0800 531 6050 to discuss your compromise agreement.
