We work with employees who have been offered a compromise agreement by their employer and need legal advice on it.

Our advice includes:

• A full explanation of the terms and effect of your compromise agreement;
• Our opinion on the suitability of the offer and whether there is scope for negotiating a higher settlement for you;
• Consideration of the tax implications and whether, the payments are being made in the most tax-efficient way.

We usually advise by telephone and email which means that you don’t need to make an appointment.

We ensure that you are getting the best deal and that the matter is completed as quickly as possible, which means the process is very easy for you and involves minimal stress.

And we nearly always limit our fee to what your employer is contributing to your legal costs, so there’s no charge to you.

A bit of history . . .

Mason Bullock was founded in 1991 by long term friends Ian Mason and Michael Bullock. Ian was a partner in a regional law firm based in Northampton and Michael worked for a large firm in Birmingham.

Andrew Crisp joined the practice in 2002 as an assistant solicitor, specialising in employment law and general litication. Andrew is passionate about employment law and developed Advantage Employment Law in October 2005. In February 2006 he became a partner with Ian.

As members of the Law Society, we are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Although this site is dedicated to the work we do in advising clients on compromise agreements, as our name suggests, we specialise in all aspects of employment law. Please visit the main Advantage Employment Law website for further information.
